**About the role**
The **Despatch Supervisor**is a **Full-time**position, based at **Badgerys Creek, NSW in our Logistics Department** **site**. Reporting to the **DC Manager,**you will be accountable for despatch paperwork at the Delivery Centre including stock transfers, deliveries, and customer pick-ups. In this role you will**:
- Supervising a small team of Despatch Coordinators.
- Managing a team of dispatch staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintaining communication with various stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- To create shipments for orders requiring cartage to ensure accurate payment to vendors.
- To work within a team that manages the daily operations of the despatch area, ensure people are inducted to the site Safety rules when required and ensure all Safety equipment is used as required.
- Controlling the yard to ensure the turnaround times of trucks are met.
- Use SAP (Warehouse Management system) to manage effective and efficient dispatching.
- Identify and drive efficiencies and improvements in the despatch process.
**What you bring to the role**:
- A strong understanding of the Chain of Responsibility
- Proven leadership exposure, particularly in transport and dispatch operations.
- Tech-savvy preferable with experience in TMS systems and proficiency in Excel;
- Knowledge of SAP system is a bonus.
- An eye for detail and the ability to think analytically.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- A hands-on approach, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
