We're Hiring: Sports League Manager (Central Coast)
Do you love sport, people, and bringing good vibes to the community? Urban Rec Central Coast is looking for our next Sports League Manager to join the team
This is a part-time, entry-level role (mostly afternoons and evenings) where you'll gain hands-on experience running leagues, managing events, and leading your own team. No long CV needed – we're after the right person with the right energy.
About Urban Rec
Urban Rec is Australia's most fun-loving sports community. We operate in 9 cities with over 6,000 teams playing every year. From soccer to netball, Volleyball to touch footy – we run leagues, tournaments, and social events that welcome players of all skill levels.
For over 10 years we've been re-inventing how people play sport: fun first, competitive second. Now, we want you to be part of that.
About You
You don't need a background in sports management – just bring the attitude, confidence, and drive to make things happen. If you're the type of person who can juggle a few moving parts, loves connecting with people, and can think on your feet, we'd love to meet you.
We're looking for someone who:
* Is confident, approachable, and organised
* Can multi-task and stay one step ahead
* Can handle challenges with a cool head and a smile
* Is available 4–9pm Mon–Thu (plus some Fri afternoons in Spring/Summer)
* Has a car (or reliable transport) to get to venues
* Loves sport – and ideally knows a bit about all of them
About the Role
This role is about building, managing, and celebrating our Urban Rec community. Some of the things you'll do:
* Recruit new teams and players to join the leagues
* Hire, train, and manage your own crew of Event Hosts
* Oversee league operations (gear, lighting, venues, smooth game nights)
* Bring the fun: run theme nights, social events, and activations
* Be the friendly face of Urban Rec at the leagues every week
* Keep members engaged with upbeat communication and follow-ups
Why You'll Love It
* Work in a fun, supportive, and social environment
* Gain leadership, event management, and sports admin experience
* Be part of a national team with opportunities to grow
* Every shift feels more like hanging out at sport than sitting at a desk
Hours & Pay
* Evening shifts: Mon–Thu 4pm–9pm + Fri afternoons.
* Part-time salaried role (20hrs)
