The Role
As an Intensivist, you will provide specialist-level critical care to a broad casemix of patients within a well-supported ICU/HDU environment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the training and supervision of junior medical staff across the hospital.
Your Responsibilities Include:
* Delivering contemporary intensive care for critically ill medical and surgical patients
* Participating in a fair, supportive on-call and onsite roster
* Supervising and mentoring RMOs, registrars, and trainees
* Collaborating with ED, anaesthetics, surgery, and general medicine teams
* Communicating with patients and families with empathy and clarity
* Engaging in clinical governance, safety, and quality improvement programs
* Supporting the development and continuous improvement of ICU services

Ideal Candidate
* FCICM (or exam-complete) or equivalent
* AHPRA Specialist Registration
* Experienced in delivering high-quality ICU care
* Skilled in communication and collaborative clinical practice
* Enthusiastic about teaching and supporting junior staff
* Interested in contributing to quality, safety, and service enhancementm>
* Adaptable and confident working in a regional setting
