An opportunity to work with a dedicated general practice team within a highly sought-after and diverse practice. View Street Medical is seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our team.
We are looking for an individual who can handle a varied and challenging position to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the practice and provide an exceptional standard of care to our patients.
It is important for our reception team to create a welcoming and efficient environment for our patients and staff. We require a proactive and flexible individual, with the ability to work collaboratively and make positive contributions to our team and practice. High attention to detail, customer service and adherence to privacy and confidentiality are essential in this role.
About the role:
As the first point of contact for patients we are looking for someone who can provide a welcoming and positive experience for our patients, you will be required to:
* Managing patient bookings and the appointment schedule
* Responding to patient enquiries on the phone and by email
* Patient invoicing & processing claims to Medicare
* Updating health records
* Liaising with third parties; specialist rooms, insurers, hospitals
* Support to the clinical and general practice team
Who we are looking for:
* You will be able to work in a busy environment in a calm and efficient manner
* With excellent interpersonal skills
* Patient focused and respectful of all at the practice
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Reliability and enjoy contributing in a team but can work autonomously
* Previous experience in a medical or similar setting is advantageous but not essential
* Best Practice software experience preferred, other clinical software desirable
