PAYROLL & HR COORDINATOR – BRISBANE – ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES FIRM (JOB ID 1544) Looking for a payroll role where you can take ownership of end-to-end processing while also supporting broader People & Culture functions? Our client, is a long-established and highly regarded integrated accounting and financial services firm with over 70 years of history and a strong presence across Queensland. With a team of 75 professionals across multiple locations, the firm delivers accounting, tax, financial planning, SMSF, audit and business advisory services to a diverse client base. Their Brisbane office is continuing to grow and is now seeking a Payroll & HR Coordinator to join the team. The Role: End-to-end payroll processing across the business ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery Maintain and update employee records within HRIS and payroll systems (including Xero Payroll) Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, awards and relevant HR requirements Support HR and People & Culture functions including onboarding, reporting and general admin Assist with process improvement and system efficiencies across payroll and HR functions Liaise with staff and management to resolve payroll and HR queries Maintain high levels of accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail About You: 3–5 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll processing Experience using HRIS systems and Xero Payroll Certificate or Diploma in Payroll, HR or Business Administration Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards and HR processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organised with strong time management abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Proactive, reliable and detail-oriented What’s On Offer: Opportunity to take ownership of payroll within a respected professional services firm Supportive and collaborative team culture Stable, long-established firm with strong national presence Career development opportunities within a growing Brisbane office Work within a multi-disciplinary environment spanning accounting, advisory and financial services If you’re looking for a role where you can own payroll while growing your exposure across HR and People & Culture in a respected firm, we’d love to hear from you.
