Job Overview
This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety standards of food services are met at Woorabinda Multipurpose Health Service.
The successful applicant will oversee kitchen operations, equipment, and supplies to maximize efficiency and achieve high standards of reliability and cost-effectiveness.
The key responsibilities include participating in performance appraisals, instigating and participating in quality management activities, adhering to policies and procedures, and practicing within established boundaries.
Economical use of resources in food preparation and service delivery is essential to meet benchmark requirements.
The role requires effective supervision and support of staff in a working environment that promotes human resources management practices, including workplace health and safety, employment equity, anti-discrimination, and ethical behavior.
A background in the food service industry, good communication skills, computer literacy, and record-keeping abilities would be highly regarded. Completion of the Food Safety Supervisor course is a requirement for this position.
