Responsibilities

Responsibilities / Duties
* Develop remote patrol plans in accordance with departmental intelligence and risk-based planning.
* Assess patrol plans for potential risks or issues and develop mitigation strategies.
* Prepare and present briefing sessions to patrol members and other participants for remote patrols.
* Engage with community members to collect information in support of border protection and enforcement activities.
* Contribute to the operational safety of the team and yourself.
* Operate ABF assets, including 4WD vehicles, inshore vessels and navigational equipment to complete patrol activities.

Eligibility and clearances
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen. The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
* ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
* Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
