About the role
Directors have responsibility for effectively managing multiple projects and staff in a rapidly growing team, working directly with the leadership team. The role will involve originating and taking the lead on buy-side and sell-side M&A projects which require a high level of advisory input. Directors also have a responsibility for business development, stakeholder management and staff development.
As a growing service line, a Director of M&A will have direct responsibility for developing and executing on M&A and growth strategies within the local market, nationally and globally. The role also requires building and managing a robust M&A pipeline, working closely with colleagues across RSM Australia and RSM International to identify opportunities.
The main responsibility for a Director in this role:
* Lead Advisory - M&A (including origination, buyer list and information memorandum preparation, data room management, negotiation and stakeholder management)
About you
Essential skills for this role:
* 8+ years' experience in Professional Services or industry Corporate Development roles
* 4+ years managing a team
* Strong ethical standards
* Strong communication and report writing skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong analytical skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Ability to meet and work towards deadlines
* Ability to deal with lawyers, corporate advisors, brokers, bankers and other professionals
* Exposure to Private Equity sector
