Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for estimating, analysis and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for cost activities which require a high degree of technical skill. You will prepare cost studies, review cost trends, and develop and implement project requirements for cost control. Your detailed analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.
Major Responsibilities:
Assists in the preparation of schedule data for proposals or contracts
Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure
Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
Assists with schedule recovery plans
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient in PC operating systems and basic software applications.
Familiar with financial reporting systems, controller account codes, and relevant Controller instructions affecting Project Controls (such as Financial Status Reports and Earned Revenue Data).
Possess intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes at Bechtel.
Understand engineering and construction management through training or practical experience.
Capable of meeting deadlines and performing well under pressure.
