**About the Role**
Due to the expansion of the business, our warehouse has been relocated from Beenleigh to Yatala with fully operation in the new facility from next month. The newly created warehouse manager position will be based in our brand-new facilities which is a 5,516 sqm high bay warehouse.
Reporting to the managing director, you will be a hands-on leader of 15 warehouse team members within day and afternoon shift operations. You will be leading the logistics strategy with the possibility to build and develop your own ideas and team.
The key responsibilities of this role shall include, but not be limited to:
- Ensure the warehouse is clean and tidy every day with high standards of safety and efficiency.
- Effective and accurate inventory control with weekly cycle counts and stocktakes.
- Manage stock level, and place orders, liaise directly with the buying team and stores if needed.
- Receive orders, generate sales invoices, and arrange a delivery schedule.
- Ensure team members are performing daily processes and procedures accurately.
- Recruit, train, lead, and engage the team by providing structured feedback and coaching to develop people with a clear vision and goals.
- Organise and plan available resources and manage shifts to deal with expected workloads.
- Weekly report and communication to the managing director, including information regarding stock, logistics, orders, issues, opportunities for improvements, and action plans.
**Skills and Experience**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous solid experience as a warehouse manager, dealing with the daily operation of a fast-paced environment, and management of small-medium teams.
- Well-developed interpersonal and great communication and listening skills, with a resilient, hands-on and confident profile interacting and motivating people.
- Previous experience with high standards of stock management, inventory control, logistics and safety are essential.
- Strong safety mindset with the ability to drive and improve a culture of safety.
- Highly organised with good prioritisation and time management skills.
- Strategic and logical intelligence, delivering people, safety, and stock/inventory reports and audits.
- Knowledge of computerised systems, time and attendance are essential.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday between 6am-5pm and occasional weekends, when necessary to meet business requirements.
- Hold a current driver and forklift licence would be essential.
- Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, push & pull, some heavy lifting, and stand for extended periods of time.
