THE ROLE
As our Finance Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Working closely with the Finance team and reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll ensure financial transactions, reconciliations and reporting tasks are completed accurately and on time.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and maintaining strong financial controls while supporting a fast-paced and growing retail business.
Key Responsibilities Include
Performing bank, clearing account and credit card reconciliationsProcessing customer direct deposits and refundsSupporting general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliationsProcessing creditor invoices and supplier reconciliationsManaging corporate credit card expense submissions and reconciliationsAssisting with GST, FBT and corporate tax preparationSupporting month-end close processesInvestigating and processing stock adjustmentsResponding to supplier enquiriesIdentifying opportunities to improve finance processes and efficiencies
What You’ll Bring
Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer or similar roleStrong attention to detail and accuracyUnderstanding of accounting principles and GST treatmentStrong organisational and time management skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (highly regarded)Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
