Responsibilities
Speech Pathologists engage with educators to support children and young people presenting with speech, language and communication concerns that may be having a direct impact on educational outcomes.
The role will involve travel to urban, regional and remote schools, educator capability building, goal setting, stakeholder engagement, school-based observations, delivering professional learning, modelling intervention and supporting educators to implement appropriate supports for children to increase success in accessing positive educational outcomes.
Qualifications
To be successful you will need to have a degree in speech pathology from an Australian institution, or equivalent; eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia and current working knowledge of paediatric speech pathology services.

Corporate Conditions

The applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Notice Clearance and an NT driver's licence.
Visits to remote schools may necessitate travel by four-wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads or light aircraft and include overnight stays in remote communities of up to four days.
Four-wheel drive training will be provided by the NT Department of Education and Training.
