Mechanical Fitter - Infrastructure | FIFO 8/6 - 7/7
Silverstone is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a high-performing Infrastructure team supporting two mine sites. This is not your standard fixed-plant role; we're looking for a versatile, self-sufficient tradesperson who thrives on variety and takes ownership of critical site infrastructure assets. This role suits someone who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance, and working across a broad range of mechanical systems.
The Role
Working across two mine sites, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing key infrastructure assets that keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Your scope will include:
* Raw water pump fault finding, servicing and replacements
* Diesel generator servicing and maintenance
* Compressor servicing and breakdown repairs
* Fuel facility maintenance (fuel pumps, flow meters, system integrity)
* Maintenance of air, water and fuel hose reels
* Preventative and corrective maintenance across site infrastructure assets
This is a hands-on, diverse role requiring strong diagnostic ability and a proactive mindset.
What We're Looking For
* Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter
* Strong fault-finding capability
* Experience with pumps, generators, compressors or fuel systems
* Ability to work autonomously across varied assets
* Infrastructure or mining experience highly regarded
* Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
* Full Australian working rights
* Manual driving license
