TheSprings Garden World is a much-loved destination in Toowoomba, known for its extensive range of plants, gardening supplies, home décor and gifts. With a strong focus on customer experience, quality products and a welcoming environment, Springs Garden World has built a loyal local following and a reputation for excellence.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking two Retail Assistants to join the team - one in the Nursery and one in the Gift Shop.
About the Roles
We are recruiting for two similar but distinct retail roles. Both positions suit individuals who enjoy engaging with customers, take pride in their presentation, and are proactive in their approach to work.
Nursery Retail Assistant (Full-Time)
* This role will see you working a 10-day fortnight, including alternate weekends.
* Assisting customers with plant and garden-related purchases and dd-on sales
* General nursery maintenance and stock handling
* Assist with receiving, marking and displaying stock
* Processing sales
* Forklift licence a benefit
* Good plant knowledge recommended
Gift Shop Retail Assistant (Permanent Part-Time)
* This role will see you working a minimum 40 hour fortnight, including alternate weekends.
* Providing friendly and attentive customer service
* Assisting customers with gift and décor selection and product recommendations
* Assist with receiving, marking and displaying stock
* Understanding and confidently offering add-on sales
* Maintaining an attractive and well-presented retail space
* Processing sales
About You
To be successful in either role, you will:
* Present professionally and communicate clearly and confidently
* Be courteous, approachable and customer-focused
* Show initiative and a willingness to learn
* Enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment
* Be reliable and take pride in your work
Retail experience is beneficial, but attitude and enthusiasm are just as important.
