Summary
Our client, a rapidly growing Queensland Government agency, is seeking a
skilled 3D Environment Artist
to design and develop a series of
high-fidelity Virtual Reality (VR) training scenarios
using existing applications built in
Unity or Unreal Engine
.
The ideal candidate will have experience creating
immersive, visually rich environments
for simulation or gaming products, preferably within the
emergency response, defence, or training sectors
. Strong proficiency in 3D visual content, lighting, and environment design is essential.
This is a
hands-on role
where close collaboration with subject matter experts at Whyte Island is critical. Your presence will support iterative development, rapid feedback, and the seamless integration of real-world operations into VR scenarios.
These immersive scenarios are designed to enhance frontline operators training, focusing on
hazard recognition
,
situational awareness
, and
decision-making
under pressure. The solutions must also be adaptable and configurable to meet the training objectives of the
Digital Learning Deployment Unit.

Detailed requirements:
Our client is seeking an experienced 3D Environment Artist with proficiency in
Unity or Unreal Engine
to create a series of high-fidelity Virtual Reality (VR) training scenarios. Bring virtual worlds to life by expertly illuminating interior and exterior sets for production, optimising assets, and scenes. With expertise in layout and environment creation, transform given assets into captivating virtual realms. Tackle complex technical challenges in the asset pipeline, ensuring seamless execution.
Required Skills:
* A strong portfolio focused on environment designs.
* Experience in creating environments in Unreal Engine.
* Exceptional understanding of composition, tone, lighting, and structure.
* Excellent knowledge of texturing and 3D software, Unreal Engine environment creation pipelines, and tools.
* Technically proficient, able to identify and collaborate on pipeline innovations.
* Unity3D, WebGL Environment Skills.
* Competency in Blueprints.
* Photogrammetry experience.

Casual Loading
