**About the client**:

**About the role & duties involved**:
- Operate trucks and 4WD spray unit to carry out maintenance of parks and reserves
- Operate tractors and a variety of 3 point linkage equipment if required
- Undertake horticultural and landscaping activities including, but not limited to, earth working, mulching, weeding, pruning, digging, raking, planting, spraying (with approved herbicides) and watering
- Use mowers, whipper snippers and other small plant to carry out maintenance work on parks and reserves
- Work on flexible park duty roster as required (operating tractors, trucks, spray unit, ride
- on mowers, small plant
- Ensure correct use, clean and tidy presentation of vehicles and equipment at all times
- Maintain professional and courteous relationships with general public and staff
- Liaise with other departments as and when necessary for parks maintenance
- Provide on the job training and guidance when required
- Attend relevant training as directed by the Parks Supervisor
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas and information
**To be considered for this role, you will have**:
- Experience as a Parks and Maintenance officer or similar
- Possession of Current C Class Drivers Licence
- Possession of or ability to obtain a current National Police Certificate
- White Card
- Reliable and hard working
- Sound experience in large scale parks maintenance
- Current MR or HR class drivers licence
- Tractor driving experience
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management certificate
- Experience in use of Power tools
- Horticulture or Turf qualification (desirable)
