Construction Supervisor - Residential

We currently have a great opportunity for a Construction Supervisor to join our Wagga Wagga team.
Based in our Wagga Wagga office, the Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the construction of new family homes with a focus on quality, delivery, safety and first-rate customer experience building upon our mission to be "Passionate on purpose and Intentional about Quality" .
Reporting directly to the Construction Manager and Business Manager, you'll be joining a professionally-run office and close-knit team. Our Wagga Wagga office is known in the area for its high standard modified plan and custom builds. As the Construction Supervisor you'll be responsible for the construction of 17 duplexes within one of our special projects located in Wagga Wagga, onsite as the G.J. ambassador liaising with our trades, suppliers and Project manager. We're looking for a highly organised, customer-focussed individual who takes accountability and pride in what we're delivering to our projects.

Key Accountabilities:
* Coordinate and manage the construction of projects to the highest of standards within the required budget and timeframes
* Develop and maintain excellent relationships with project owners, subcontractors and suppliers
* Ensure all sites are safe and tidy and workers are working in a safe manner
* Maintain and update the job schedules, confirming dates with each subcontractor/supplier and ensuring they have the necessary information to complete their tasks.
* Develop positive but firm relationships with all subcontractors and suppliers and address any issues/blockers as soon as they become apparent
* Review and approve invoices as work is completed on site
* Ensure homes are complete on handover to the our strict satisfaction
Key Knowledge/Experience:
* Experience as a Site Supervisor / Construction Supervisor is ideal although we are also open to considering individuals wanting to step up into this role and learn from our highly experienced construction team
* Previous experience working a Carpenter/Builder/Tradesperson, ideally within residential new home construction
* A structured individual with the ability to supervise numerous homes concurrently
* Demonstrated experience in and extensive knowledge of the building industry
* A strong commitment to safe working practices
* Ability to work independently whilst ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed
* Great communication and relationship building skills
* An ability to problem solve and take initiative on site
* An honest and reliable colleague
Much of the role will be based on sites within Wagga Wagga, combined with Thursday's in the our office in Wagga Wagga. Working hours are generally 7am-4pm, Monday-Friday. A driver's licence is required and you'll be provided with a company vehicle, laptop, phone and ipad.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
