GTS (Global Transaction Services) provides transaction banking, client experience, and solution implementation for large corporate and institutional customers as well as manages the bank's payment networks, the regulatory and payments strategy agenda, and the end-to-end payments operations including clearing and settlements.

GTS is on a journey to deliver a digital banking platform for the future. Aimed at Westpac's institutional customer segment, the Westpac One Core Platform will provide digitisation of the working capital cycle and deliver a real-time corporate treasury through faster payments, real-time liquidity optimisation, cash flow forecasting and data monitoring. All through a seamless digital front-end customer experience

**How will I help?**

As an Associate Director, Product Owner, Data, you will be responsible for capability/feature design and delivery of the Westpac One Core platform data products backlog. You will partner with Product Management colleagues across Accounts & Products, Payments, Channels and Servicing to ensure delivery of capabilities and features.

You will be the key link between the Product team and the Agile delivery team to fulfil the primary functions of product management and product development. You will maintain strong partnerships with Technology, platform vendors, Operations, key clients, Sales, Risk, Legal and Client Servicing as they represent the Product team. You will also assist wider business requirements in Agile scrums, as well as managing delivery prioritisation within the Agile delivery framework.

Other key accountabilities Include:

- Define and own product backlog for Westpac One Core platform data workstream, including development and implementation of a product management strategy delivering a scalable solution
- Partner with product teams for ongoing backlog grooming aligned to solving customer pain points and market needs.
- Collect and synthesize stakeholder feedback to act as the 'voice of customer'
- Lead feature delivery from definition to design and partner with technology to support implementation
- Prioritise features and work with technology to refine the solution design and low-level user stories through feature elaboration with requirements analysis and data modelling
- Manage backlog with prioritisation decisions, managing complex trade-offs and competing priorities
- Represent squad during PI and sprint planning, delivery, testing and retrospectives
- Coach the squad and support them in breaking down work into incremental deliveries
- Work with architects, solution designers, developers, and third-party vendors throughout the platform development
- Understand the impacts of changes to applicable legislation and regulatory frameworks and ensure the platform design meets the requirements of Compliance and Risk
- Rigorously identify and diligently manage operational risks, incidents, issues and controlsAssess the operational requirements of the platform and work with Change, Operations and Servicing to deliver business change

**What do I need?**

To be successful in this role, you must be an experienced digital Product Owner with an in-depth understanding of data implementation from a banking and financial services background. You must have a strong understanding of Transactional or Institutional Banking products including deposit accounts and associated business and operational data. You will also have demonstrated experience in end-to-end technology delivery, covering design, build, test and implementation.

Other advantageous attributes include:

- Practical experience in roles within a highly regulated industry/organisation, including the Institutional/Transactional Banking and/or Superannuation industry serving institutional clients
- Strong experience in the digital and technology domain with vendors and/or transformations across Institutional or Transactional banking
- Proficiency in understanding and working with structured and unstructured data
- Demonstrated experience in Agile practices, including backlog management and prioritisation, as well
