A mechanical engineer will be responsible for acting as a liaison between customers and production teams.
The primary focus of this role is to translate customer orders to technical drawings, releasing documentation to the production team.
Day-to-day tasks include preparing job files for manufacturing use from customer orders, including parts detail drawings, fabrication lists, bills of material, packing slips, and other miscellaneous information.
Responsibilities also include providing customer service assistance on field installation issues, repairs, quality problems, or other customer problems.
* Ensures products meet organizational and customer quality and product integrity requirements.
* Supports product development or operations teams by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process.
* Identifies root causes of problems in the production process; recommends and/or implements corrective measures.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and five years' experience
* Proficiency in SolidWorks and DraftSight (or similar)
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers, co-workers, and manufacturing personnel.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
