Prefab Council Australia (PCA) is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our national board as the Tasmania State Chair. About PCA:
PCA is Australia's peak body for prefabricated, modular, and off-site construction, dedicated to advancing policy, standards, and adoption of MMC nationwide. We bring together industry, government, and research leaders to build a more efficient, sustainable, and resilient built environment.
Role Overview:
As the Tasmanian State Chair, you will lead PCA's efforts locally, championing the adoption of MMC and representing Tasmania's interests at the national level. You will collaborate with builders, developers, policymakers, researchers, and community stakeholders to position Tasmania as a leader in innovative construction.
Key Responsibilities:
· Advocate for policies that support prefab and modular construction in Tasmania.
· Build and engage a local network of industry professionals, manufacturers, and government representatives.
· Drive initiatives aligned with PCA's national strategy, tailored to Tasmania's opportunities and challenges.
· Chair Tasmanian chapter meetings, events, and roundtables.
· Represent PCA in media, industry forums, and government consultations.
Who We're Looking For:
· A respected leader in Tasmanian construction, development, engineering, architecture, manufacturing, academia, or related fields.
· Passionate about sustainability, innovation, and the future of building.
· Well-connected within local industry and government circles.
· Strategic thinker with strong communication and collaboration skills.
· Previous board or leadership experience is highly regarded.
