Reports to: Workshop / Site Supervisor
Amity Resources Pty Ltd is seeking qualified Welders (First Class) to work under an on‐hire arrangement with third‐party host employers across Western Australia.
Responsibilities
* Perform welding and fabrication using MIG, TIG, flux‐core, and stick welding processes.
* Fabricate, assemble, and repair structural steel, frames, and heavy components.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication blueprints.
* Cut, shape, and prepare metal using grinders, cutting torches, and plasma cutters.
* Set up, calibrate, and operate welding machines.
* Conduct inspections and tests to ensure weld quality meets AS/NZS 1554 and company standards.
* Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working order.
* Follow strict OHS practices when working in workshop and on‐site environments.
Requirements
* Only applicants with full Australian work rights will be considered.
* At least 3–5 years' welding/fabrication experience in heavy industry, mining, or construction.
* Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols.
* Proficiency in welding a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and alloys.
* Ability to pass weld tests and meet QA/QC standards.
* Strong safety focus and physical fitness.
Salary & Conditions
* Base salary: AUD 92,000 per annum + Super
* Full‐time role with potential overtime and shift work
