Senior Claims Adviser: A Key Role in Financial Lines Insurance
About the Job
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Claims Advisor to join our Australian Claims Team. This full-time role can be based in various locations and may require occasional interstate travel.
Key Responsibilities
* Claims Advocacy: Provide expert advice and support throughout the claims process, including commercial settlement negotiations with insurers as needed.
* Client Service: Develop and maintain strong relationships with national clients, providing guidance and support to meet their needs.
* Financial Lines Expertise: Serve as an advocate for financial lines claims classes, including professional indemnity, cyber liability, management liability, employment practices liability, medical malpractice, Directors & Officers, Warranties & Indemnities (M&A) and statutory liability.
Requirements
* A law degree or equivalent formal qualification is desirable but not essential.
* Cert IV in general insurance and Diploma qualification (or equivalent experience) are highly regarded but not necessary.
* Holding all relevant regulatory licenses, permissions, and technical requirements under local legislation is essential.
* Demonstrated experience in financial lines insurance claims classes is required.
* A highly organized and detail-focused individual who takes pride in their work is essential.
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and a client-focused approach are necessary.
* A strong ability to build and manage relationships is crucial.
* Sound ability to facilitate training and presentations is required.
* Knowledge of insurance regulations, codes, and legislation is essential.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook is necessary.
* Some travel will be required, and a valid driver's license is mandatory.
