**Regional Partnership Coordinator (Barwon)**
- _Salary: _$113,022 - $136,747 _(Plus Superannuation)_
- _Fixed-Term position to 10 August 2026_
- _Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)_
- _Usual work location: 33 Mackey Street, North Geelong VIC 3215 (flexibility may be available)_

**The Role**

As a Regional Partnership Coordinator (Barwon), you will coordinate support for the Barwon Partnership and its work program to achieve better outcomes for the region's economy, communities, and environment. Working across government and other local organisations, the incumbent will act as a broker bringing together many groups and individuals to progress priorities identified by the Partnership, oversee a program of community engagement, and provide high-quality advice to government.

You will demonstrate a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, responsiveness and flexibility. High level organising, planning and communication skills, together with excellent stakeholder management and community engagement skills, are required in this role.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Initiate, maintain and manage solid relationships in the region - within and across other state government departments, local governments, community organisations, business, industry advisory groups.
- Coordinate delivery of the Partnership's business and work across RDV's regional and metro offices to support contemporary approaches to good governance and stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain key communications tools, including managing online activity, content and reporting for website and social media, and contribute to the development of media releases and other internal and external communications.
- Manage and coordinate the Barwon Partnership, coordinating agenda items, presentations and materials from across government for quarterly meetings, providing high-level advice to the Regional Partnership chair, deputy secretary member, RDV Regional Director on the Partnership's activities and operations.
- Oversee the delivery of priorities identified by the Regional Partnership by working across departments to shape and propose options, coordinating a local implementation program, acting as a broker to bring multiple stakeholders together and monitoring progress against agreed outcomes.

**The Team**

The position of the Regional Partnership Coordinator (Barwon) will work within Barwon South West branch, which sits within Regional Development Victoria group.

Regional Development Victoria group works with businesses, communities and across government to deliver economic growth, create jobs, build resilience, and support economic recovery in our regions. We have a strong role in activating networks; building partnerships; realising outcomes that boost local economic and community resilience; and bringing the lived experience of communities into government decision making. In delivering our portfolio priorities, we work closely with parts of government given the many synergies and linkages with other priorities across government.

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

- **Stakeholder management**: Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Identify and responds to stakeholders' underlying needs; uses understanding of the stakeholder's organisational context to ensure outcomes are achieved; and finds innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder issues.
- **Stakeholder engagement**: Proven understanding of business and community engagement practices and principles and practices and proven experience in working with rural and regional Victorian stakeholders. Ability to identify issues in common and uses to build mutually beneficial partnerships and outcomes.
- **Media and communications**: Proven ability to manage online media activity; develop and deliver communication plans and prepare of content for media releases, websites and social media channels within in tight lines whilst complying with department and government communications and media guidelines.
- **Conceptual and Analytical**: High level conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to use these to reason through problems and issues, and synthesise ideas from a variety of sources.
- **Governance**: Demonstrated ability to achieve high standards of performance while delivering on competing demands and expectations, with a strong background in secretariat and administration management, including compliance with relevant department and government guidelines.
