Blacktown Boys High School is a partially selective all-boys high school with an enrolment of 903 students including students from a non-English speaking background and Aboriginal students. The student body includes an academically selective cohort in each year group, gifted and talented classes, mainstream classes and an Inclusive Education Unit. The school caters for the educational and wellbeing needs of boys, attracting students from a wide drawing area, who are seeking a single-sex education.
It has a strong focus on achieving academic and creative excellence, and developing resilient, self-confident young men who can collaborate and communicate effectively, as they develop skills to be lifelong learners. It has a focus on HSC attainment, Literacy and Numeracy, student wellbeing and collaborative teaching. The wide community has recognised the school's success, and this is reflected in increasing enrolments. It is a school where boys thrive.
