Flight Assembly Supervisor Job
This is a supervisory role responsible for overseeing and managing all assembly and packing operations within a designated area. The primary goal is to minimize wastages, improve procedures, and ensure that all flights are meticulously packed according to specified standards.
* The supervisor will be accountable for monitoring and improving existing procedures, recommending improvements to the relevant department manager as necessary.
The ideal candidate should have demonstrated success in a similar role, with strong resource planning skills and experience in managing a diverse group of employees. Previous experience with LEAN or SIX SIGMA project management would be an advantage.
A key aspect of this role is providing strategic direction, support, and guidance to a team of catering attendants. The supervisor will also be responsible for rostering as per the baseline to ensure optimum efficiency and investigating, analyzing, suggesting, and implementing corrective action plans to resolve assembly issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accountable for minimising wastages by monitoring, improving & managing existing procedures.
* Recommend improvements to the relevant Department Manager where necessary.
* Ensure that all flights are meticulously packed according to the specified standards and promptly delivered to the dispatch fridge.
* Provide strategic direction, support, and guidance to a team of Catering Attendants.
* Roster as per the baselines to ensure optimum efficiency.
* Investigate, analyse, suggest, and implement corrective action plans to resolve assembly issues.
* Carry out additional duties as may be reasonably requested by the Executive Chef and/or Senior Management.
* Ensure employees are trained as per the business training matrix and schedule.
* Lead and participate in dnata safety programs, including toolboxes talks, safety stand downs, safety meetings and other safety initiatives.
This role requires a strong commitment to food safety and compliance, with excellent leadership skills and experience in managing a diverse group of employees. The ideal candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.
