About the role
As the Conference and Events Operations Manager at O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional event experiences for our diverse range of corporate and leisure guests.
This full-time position is based in our stunning Lamington, Queensland location, offering the opportunity to work in a beautiful, natural environment.
What you'll be doing
Oversee the end-to-end planning and delivery of all conferences, events, and functions at the resort.
Liaise closely with clients to understand their requirements and create tailored event solutions.
Coordinate the activities of the events team, including accommodation, catering, audiovisual, and logistics.
Ensure high standards of service and guest satisfaction throughout the event lifecycle.
Monitor event budgets and recommend strategies to maximise profitability.
Identify opportunities to enhance the resort's event offerings and drive continuous improvement.
Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and industry partners.
What we're looking for
Extensive experience in event or conference management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with the wider team.
Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities to handle the dynamic nature of event operations.
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality experiences.
Familiarity with event technology and software to streamline planning and execution.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in hospitality, tourism, or a related field.
