Support Services Associate Job Summary

This role involves delivering efficient and responsive support services to complement the clinical requirements of a 5 West ward. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

* Remove waste materials and restock consumables, ensuring a clean and organized environment for patients.
* Conduct thorough cleaning of patient areas and all department facilities, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
* Deliver meals and beverages to patients in a timely and courteous manner, enhancing their overall experience.
* Transport patients, beds, and trollies safely and efficiently, prioritizing patient comfort and dignity.


Required Skills and Qualifications

* Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (HLT33115) or equivalent qualification.
* Basic food safety practices, HLTFSE001, is desirable but not mandatory if completed as part of the Cert III in Health Services Assistance.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
* Experience in patient transport, preferably using a patient bed mover, is an advantage.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
* Previous experience within a Healthcare Environment is essential.
* A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History check, or willingness to obtain one, is required.
