A Waste Systems and Contracts Analyst job paying circa $60.00 - $65.00 per hour to a local council.

A local government organisation close to the northern suburbs of Melbourne has a temporary job as a waste Systems and Contracts Analyst working in a waste and resource recovery team.
**Your new role**
Reporting to Manager Waste and Sustainability, you'll:
- Contract administration of key service contracts including but not limited to recycling collection, recycling processing, landfill disposal, organics processing, bulk / parks litter collection, hard waste and mobile rubbish bin services
- Development, implementation and ongoing analysis of Councils Satellite Navigation (GPS) system
- Oversight of the performance of internal service units against agreed levels of service
- Coordination and continuous improvement of the departments Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and Quality Assurance (QA) Systems
**What you'll need to succeed**
As well as qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, you'll have:
- Demonstrated high level of knowledge and experience in environmental waste management including strategic planning, operations, compliance and contract management & administration
- Demonstrated experience in the use of WHS and QA systems and frameworks
- Demonstrated high level of communication, customer service and negotiation skills, including the ability to gain co-operation and the best outcome for Council
