A fantastic opportunity exists to join the group in the capacity of a casual Banquet & Functions Cook! This role will report to the Head Banquet Chef. Our brand new state-of-the-art, purpose-built Event Centre is the largest event venue in Southern Sydney. Our Event Centre provides the perfect space for your corporate or social function - Southern Sydney Events Centre. We are looking for someone who will be responsible for: Previous experience working in fast-paced environments for events and functions Effectively and efficiently running a cooking section in-line with company standards. Assist in the creation and implementation of interesting and popular menu ideas. Inspire and energise the team to be the best they can be. Maintain strong relations, internally and externally. Consistently deliver high-quality meals. Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order. Follow OH&S compliance at all times. Skills & Experience: Cert III Commercial Cookery Excellent communicator. Needs to be flexible to work around a varying roster across 7 days. Willingness to learn different sections & cuisines. Has a high level of personal morale and appearance. A positive and calm attitude.
