Hotel Ambassador
A Hotel Ambassador provides reception services for guests to deliver a superior experience from check-in through check-out and complete audits as required.
This role is part of the Front Office Team, aiming to achieve positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner. An efficient reception experience for guests, including check-in/out, and complete audit procedures are also ensured.
The Hotel Ambassador maintains open communication with the Guest Service Manager regarding any relevant feedback from guests or other departments.
A high level of customer service is demonstrated at all times. This involves attending training courses when required, assisting with Night Team training and development efforts, and showcasing a thorough knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and general product information.
An understanding of foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash handling procedures in accordance with the hotel's credit policy is necessary. Maximizing room occupancy and using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities are key responsibilities.
The correct procedures for working with front-of-house equipment and property management systems must be followed, adhering to company brand standards. Assisting other departments as needed completes this vital role.
To succeed in this position, candidates should possess a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Previous experience in a customer-focused industry, excellent communication skills, and calm efficiency are essential qualities. IT proficiency and the ability to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude are also valuable assets.
* Prior experience in cash handling would be advantageous, as well as familiarity with front office/concierge operations in the hotel, leisure, and/or entertainment sectors.
