Urban Design Graduate
This is a unique opportunity for recent graduates in urban design to gain practical experience and mentorship within a local government setting. You will contribute to delivering excellent built form design outcomes for the city, including but not limited to Masterplans, Design Guidelines, City Plan Policies and advocacy for design across the organisation and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to architectural and urban design research and advice to promote good architecture and urban design outcomes for city projects and initiatives.
* Contribute to the development and review of design, landscape and place policies for the management, protection and promotion of good architecture, urban design, landscape architecture and local character areas within the city.
* Collaborate with other teams and groups in relation to works concerning the city's architecture and urban design ensuring the city's liveability is considered.
* Support the City Design team's advocacy for improved architecture, urban design and landscape architecture outcomes in the region.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Recognised bachelor's degree or post graduate qualification from a tertiary institution, completed within the last two years or be completing prior to the commencement of the program.
* Full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program.
* Ability to work full-time.
