The Opportunity
This role would suit someone who has graduated with a Degree in Social Work holding current registration with Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) looking to start their career with a scheduled induction, training, and buddy system to set you up for success in your new role.
As a Rehabilitation Consultant/Social Worker you will manage a portfolio of clients with a physical injury or psychological disorder, completing case management and reports to facilitate return-to-work outcomes.
You will develop the skills needed to conduct motivational interviews with clients as well as influencing stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients.
Within Your Role
- Manage a portfolio of clients with a psychological or physical injury
- Identify barriers preventing clients from returning to work
- Organise appropriate intervention with various stakeholders
- Monitor the progress of clients by maintaining regular contact
- Compile regular case records
- Write return-to-work plans
- Assist individuals to understand and resolve barriers by providing information
- Attend medical appointments with your clients
- Complete reports after assessments and meetings
- Communicate with medical professionals regarding diagnosis and treatment
- Monitor the progress of individuals you are supporting
- Facilitate a safe and timely graduated return to work
- Document case notes as part of reporting and compliance requirements
About You
- Current registration with ASSW - essential
- Min one years’ experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
- Car and valid Driver’s license
- Police check or willingness to obtain a police check prior to commencement
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
