Victory Minerals Pty Ltd is a successful gold explorer and producer in Victoria's gold belt.
The Ballarat Gold Mine is located in Ballarat, just 100km west of Melbourne, and began producing gold in September 2011, with an annual production of 40,000 to 50,000 ounces.
The company is in an exciting new era under new ownership, exploring untapped opportunities.
The Opportunity
We have multiple opportunities available for Underground Truck Drivers at our residential Ballarat Mine Site.
Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor, key responsibilities include the safe and productive operation of underground trucks, supporting underground mining operations, and completing all required safety and operations documentation and records.
About You
Mandatory:
- Australian Driver's License
- High standard of safe behaviour, with a strong team focus & work ethic
- Ability to comply with and follow all instructions and directives pertaining to safety and safe work procedures
- Ability to work underground
- Ability to work with minimal direct supervision, in a small team environment
- Ability to complete multiple tasks, in a dynamic production environment
- Effective communication, listening and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to a respectful and cooperative work environment, in line with all company policies, procedures and expectations
- Previous experience driving heavy vehicles (mining is highly desirable, construction, earth-moving, or semi-rigid)
- MR/HR license
- Previous Underground experience is highly desirable
- Previous experience with JSA's, Stepbacks, Take 5's etc
- 30 hours per week minimum
- Day shift only- 7am start
Desirable:
- Australian Driver's License
- Residential mine experience and ability to live locally (no FIFO)
- Uniforms supplied and fully laundered on site
