The Role

As a TAFE Teacher you will impart your extensive industry knowledge and experience to students using a variety of delivery methods, including classroom, online and workplace settings. You will help students from diverse backgrounds acquire the skills they need to succeed.

We are looking for a Teaching role within Technology (ICT) at either the Ipswich or Toowoomba Campus. This opportunity is part of a talent pool and your application will be kept on file for 12 months.

Salary

* Casual Teacher: $115.33 per hour (gross)
* Teacher (full‐time equivalent): $92,930 – $116,332 per annum (TAFE Queensland Educators' Certified Agreement 2023)

Mandatory Requirements

* ICT30120 Certificate III in Information Technology; and/or
* ICT50220 Diploma in Information Technology

Applicants Must Also Possess The Following

* Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided
* Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that inform the training and assessment provided
* Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency‐based training and assessment
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card); for further information, please access: http://www.bluecard.qld.gov.au/
* Current Queensland driver's licence
* Training and assessment credentials:
o TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor
o TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
o TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
o TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor
o TAE50111 or TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training
o TAE50211 or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development
o A secondary teaching qualification and one of the following credentials:
+ TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor
+ TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor
o A higher‐level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland)

Highly Desirable

* High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems)
* High level skill in explaining IT content to learners with diverse prior knowledge and experience
* Ability to contextualise learning topics with relevant industry practice
* Ability to work as part of a teaching team
