A leading private healthcare provider in the Geelong region is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Emergency Consultant (FACEM) to join its Emergency Department on a part-time permanent basis, with flexible work arrangements available up to 0.5 FTE.
You will provide specialist emergency services to adult and paediatric patients, promoting high-quality, safe, and patient‐centred care. The role includes clinical leadership, supervision, mentorship, and education of doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners, and other health professionals.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist clinical management of Emergency Department patients
* Maintain ethical, respectful, and professional behaviour with patients, families, and colleagues
* Demonstrate awareness of Indigenous customs and community expectations when assessing, admitting, or discharging Indigenous patients
* Participate fully in the medical roster, including after‐hours and on‐call duties, as agreed with the Head of Department
About You
* Fellow of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent specialist qualification
* Demonstrated substantial experience managing high‐acuity patients in a complex hospital environment
* Proven ability to provide clinical leadership and build collaborative clinical teams
* Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in emergency care
