One Data Analyst role with a Government Department for an initial 12-month contract with 12-months extension
**Your new company**
You will be working with a Government Department as a Data Analyst in the Advanced Analytics Team. The team is responsible for extracting and integrating data from a variety of sources to develop and maintain a range of reports and analytics products for both internal and external stakeholders.
**Your new role**
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for providing a high-level data analysis skill, proficiency in one or more programming languages (particularly SQL, R and/or Python) and the use of Excel to conduct analysis. Demonstrated experience working with big data sets from a range of structured unstructured sources to draw insights and develop visualisation. Proven ability to interrogate modelling inputs and outputs and prepare analysis and advice. Additionally with the ability to develop research plans and methodology, through to the dissemination and presentation of research findings.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered, you will need:
- Background with programming languages (particularly SQL, R and/or Python)
- Experience working with Azure Databricks would be an advantage
- Draw insights and develop visualisation
- Proven ability to develop research plans and methodology
You must be an Australian citizen and will possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a (Baseline) personnel security clearance.
