The design studio is highly collaborative and fast‑paced, offering designers the opportunity to work closely with senior creative leadership while contributing to globally distributed collections.
The Role I
The Textile Designer is a creative role within the design team, working closely with the Creative Director and Senior Design Directors to deliver original seasonal artworks across RTW and Swim & Resort product lines.
Key responsibilities include:
* Researching creative ideas, sourcing reference material, and developing original print and surface artworks aligned to seasonal concept briefs.
* Creating artwork repeats, colour separations, and alternative colourways as required.
* Developing embroidery artwork and templates for embroidered garments.
* Preparing placement print, embroidery, and laser‑cut templates for sampling and production.
* Ensuring artwork is set up in the most cost‑effective and production‑efficient manner.
* Providing clear strike‑off feedback to printers and embroiderers using visual references.
* Working closely with pattern makers to deliver efficient artwork yields for bulk production.
* Grading placement artworks across size ranges and maintaining accurate cutting instructions.
* Participating in seasonal handover to Production to ensure artworks are executed correctly at bulk stage.
* Maintaining organised digital and vintage artwork libraries.
* Contributing to a collaborative and well‑organised design studio environment.
The Skillset I
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Approximately 5 years' experience as a textile, print, or surface designer in a similar role.
* A strong understanding of luxury fashion and surface design aesthetics.
* Demonstrated creative instinct and a distinctive point of view across colour, texture, and pattern.
* Advanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
* Strong technical understanding of textile processes, print methods, and production requirements.
* Immaculate attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of design trends, industry developments, and new textile technologies.
* Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
* Strong awareness of intellectual property and originality in artwork development.
