ABOUT THE ROLE
The Grazing Officer plays a hands-on role in supporting sustainable grazing and land management across the Gulf Savannah region. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you'll help deliver projects that strengthen grazing practices and improve environmental and business outcomes in agricultural and pastoral systems.
You'll work directly with land managers to provide practical, expert advice and on-ground support to improve grazing systems and build long-term resilience in grazing businesses.
The role also includes coordinating project delivery, managing budgets, and preparing timely reporting for funders, partners, and Gulf Savannah NRM's leadership and governance groups to ensure projects are delivered effectively and to a high standard.
Successful candidates will also boast the following:
* Formal qualifications in Agricultural Science, Environmental Science or related field; or substantial relevant on-the-job training and experience in agriculture or NRM.
* A manual C Class Driver's License.
* A have a minimum of 1 years' experience in grazing or land management, with basic coordination and project management experience.
* Australian work authorisation at the time of application.
