Key Role:
The Department of Children and Families is seeking a senior policy professional to drive transformational reforms.
This role will lead the development of strategic policy, provide advice and contribute to the implementation of the Agency's commitments to Closing the Gap and other relevant strategies, frameworks and action plans.
The primary objective is to improve outcomes for Aboriginal children, families, individuals and communities through structural reform and culturally competent services.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic advice to drive transformational reforms
* Lead the development of strategic policy
* Contribute to the implementation of the Agency's commitments
* Culturally competent service delivery
Working Context:
This role requires strong relationships with Government, non-government and community stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and contributing to the development of high-level policy documents.
They will also be required to maintain a deep understanding of the complex issues affecting Aboriginal children, families, individuals and communities.
Requirements:
* Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field
* Extensive experience in policy development and implementation
* Proven track record in driving change and improvement
* Strong knowledge of the Territory's social determinants of health and wellbeing
* Cultural competence and understanding of the complexities of working with Aboriginal communities
