We are on the lookout for a Head Chef and/or Sous Chef to join us at Woods Sherbrooke, a small french-inspired cafe in the Dandenong Ranges. We are building great momentum, and have exciting plans to expand into Friday and Saturday nights, in addition to our regular Thursday - Sunday trading and booked events.
At woods, we pride ourselves on serving high quality food and using exceptional produce. We're seeking someone who will uphold our standards and bring fresh, exciting ideas to our venue and evolving menu. Our dishes change with the seasons, showcasing local, seasonal produce sourced from the Yarra Ranges and surrounds.
The Role:
* Permanent part-time position, approx. 20 -25 hours per week
* Friday to Sunday, with no late nights - latest finish time 9pm.
* Prepare and execute a short order menu with efficiency and care
* Input with menu development and design
About you:
* Confident working solo and in a small, supportive team
* Strong short-order experiance
* Pride in presentation, consistency and quality
* Excellent communication
* Interest in French Cuisine and wine
* Knowledge in food safety standards
* Strong time management and attention to detail
