Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact: answering and managing calls with professionalism.
Coordinate lawyers’ diaries, court dates, and client appointments.
Prepare, format, and manage legal documents and correspondence.
Manage office supplies and oversee general administrative functions.
Assist with staff coordination, including rostering and supporting junior staff and clerks.
Handle client billing, trust accounting, and practice management records.
Use Actionstep to manage client files, billing, and trust account processes.
Ensure document management, filing, and record-keeping systems are accurate and effective.
About You
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary (criminal law highly regarded).
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and legal practice management systems.
Fast and accurate typing with strong IT skills.
Experience with Actionstep is essential. Further training will be provided to support ongoing development.
Discreet, detail-focused, and able to work independently as well as in a small, close-knit team.
Professional, proactive, and reliable.
