Where You'll Be Working
Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation.

The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.

Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.

Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the University of NSW and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges.

Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.



How to Apply

* Registration or eligible for registration with Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA). Candidate to provide on application AHPRA Registration Number. Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.
* Experience in all aspects of advanced interventional radiology including Tier B procedures as outlined by IRSA as evidenced by relevant demonstrated experience, fellowship training or higher qualification such as EBIR.
* Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice.
* Demonstrated experience in and commitment to research relevant to the role and needs of the Department.
* Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education/ continuing professional development as well as participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or post graduate level, including supervision of junior medical staff.
* Demonstrated ability to comply with the service objectives of a public health organisation, including the provision of services to the local community, effective utilisation of resources, and preparedness to participate in the provision of health services at an LHD level and preparedness to participate in a hospital, service or LHD on-call roster.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health services colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and staff and to work as an effective member of the clinical team across multiple sites. Demonstrated commitment to provision of a high standard of clinical care in the public sector setting.
