We are seeking another highly experienced and passionate Chef De Partie & Commi Chef to join our team at Strøm in East Perth. This role offers an opportunity to apply your culinary expertise in helping to position Strøm as a premier food destination in Perth. You will report directly to the Head Chef and play a key role in leading and supporting a high-performing kitchen team. This position requires experience in all areas of quality menu management and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Main Duties:
• Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food
preparation and presentation.
• Oversee and lead kitchen teams, particularly in the absence of the Head Chef.
• Contribute to the creation and execution of innovative and high-quality menus.
• Monitor and maintain food cost control practices, including menu costings and stock
management.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and HACCP compliance.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by consistently delivering high-quality meals.
• Work under pressure in a high-volume environment while maintaining composure.
• Collaborate with the venue leadership team to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
• Participate in a 7-day roster, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Minimum Certificate III and Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
• Several years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen serving high-quality menus.
• Proven ability to manage kitchen staff, set high performance standards, and run all areas of
the kitchen.
• Strong understanding of modern Australian cuisine and current market trends.
• Experience in menu development, costing, and food cost control.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and contribute to a high-performance culture.
• Passion for delivering exceptional food and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.
