Geriatrician Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Geriatrician to join our multidisciplinary team in providing specialist consultant duties across various services.
About the Role
This 0.3FTE fixed-term part-time position is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the care and rehabilitation of older adults. The successful applicant will be involved in providing sub-acute inpatient aged rehabilitation care, supporting the outreach Geriatric Flying Squad, and participating in driving assessment clinics.
The appointee may also have the opportunity to engage in educational activities, research, and quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, there is potential for a conjoint appointment with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of New South Wales.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Provide sub-acute inpatient aged rehabilitation care
* Support the outreach Geriatric Flying Squad

Selection Criteria
* Essential Requirements:
* Specialist qualifications in Geriatric or Rehabilitation Medicine (FRACP or FAFRM) and/or other specialist recognition
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Recent clinical experience in community care, acute care, and rehabilitation of older people
* Demonstrated ability to work as a dynamic member of a multidisciplinary team
* Previous commitment to teaching, research, and service planning
* Proficiency in IT, electronic healthcare records, and databases
* Previous experience in quality improvement and healthcare accreditation processes
* Advanced verbal and written communication skills
