About the Role


Prowall Construction is searching for a driven, hungry and highly experienced Business Development Manager who is ready to hunt for new business, open new accounts, and become a high-performing face of our brand.

This role is for someone who thrives in sales, loves the chase, and is motivated by closing deals, building relationships, and earning commission on every job they help bring in.

You will be the first impression of Prowall for many new builders and clients—so confidence, professionalism, and the ability to learn fast are essential. Our retaining wall and earthworks packages range from $50K all the way to $1M–$2M, meaning the earning potential for commission is significant as we continue expanding our service offerings.

This is not a passive, "wait for leads" role. This is a hunter role for someone who wants to be out there driving new revenue, building a strong personal brand, and becoming known as the go-to person in the industry.


What You'll Be Doing



Aggressive New Business Outreach

* Actively hunt for new builders, commercial contractors, and civil companies - not just companies, the individuals behind the companies. CA's, PM's, Executives and Owners.
* Drive pipeline through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, site drop-ins, and networking.
* Open new accounts and secure new quoting opportunities for Prowalls estimating team for both live jobs and tenders.


Lead Generation & Sales Conversion

* Identify new projects and upcoming works across Victoria.
* Introduce Prowall's services with confidence, clarity, and strong relationship focussed energy.
* Follow up all tenders and quotes to understand ranking, budgets, and conversion opportunities and close the deals through negotiation.
* Close deals and push opportunities into the contract stage.


Client Relationship Leadership

* Become the face of Prowall for new and existing clients.
* Build trust and long-term relationships with PMs, CAs, site managers and directors.
* Attend meetings, site visits, and presentations with a polished and confident presence.


Personal Branding & Online Presence

* Represent Prowall professionally across LinkedIn and social media.
* Be comfortable appearing on camera and creating short sales/content videos.
* Build your own professional brand as a leading construction BDM.


Collaboration & Fast Learning

* Work closely with our estimator and management team on live opportunities.
* Learn our services, systems, retaining wall methods, processes and engineering quickly.
* Understand our sequencing, capabilities, and packages deeply enough to sell them effectively.


What We're Looking For



The Ideal Candidate Is…

* A hunter, not a "wait for leads" salesperson.
* Highly driven, competitive, and motivated by hitting targets and earning commission.
* Polished, presentable, and confident both in person and on camera - if you don't like the camera, don't apply.
* Comfortable speaking to builders, PMs, CAs, site managers and decision makers.
* A quick learner who can understand construction services fast.
* Relentless with follow-up, organisation, and relationship management.
* Ambitious—wants to grow with the company and dominate the market.


Requirements

* 5 years of BDM or sales experience in construction (subcontractors/trades) or related fields
* Strong communicator with natural charisma and confidence.
* Strong understanding of tech such as gmail, google drive, CRM platforms and quoting platforms
* Comfortable with CRMs and tracking sales activity.
* Must hold a valid driver's licence.
* Passion for personal branding and social media presence (Linkedin) and ability to speak on camera.
