Job Overview
This is a key position for a Configuration Management Electrical Technician who will be responsible for defining, generating and reviewing project requirements documentation. The role requires expertise in maintaining and managing electrical systems documentation, configurations, and updates.
The ideal candidate will excel at interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to ensure system integrity and compliance with established standards. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to track changes, maintain accurate records, and support mission success through effective configuration management.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develops, generates and reviews project requirements documentation
* Conducts technical studies to refine project requirements
* Ensures projects are well defined and maintained
* Provides coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received
* Supports Engineers in the design, development, modification, and improvement of products/processes
* Identifies and recommends improvements/preventive actions, inspecting, testing, maintaining, researching, repairing, and installing equipment and systems
* Analyses performance/project data during phase-down to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs
* Anticipates internal and external business challenges and/or regulatory/compliance issues; recommends process, product or service improvements
* Resolves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact
* Contributes to the development of job family or strategy
* Mentors and advises project teams to achieve milestones and objectives
* Is regarded as the technical expert in their particular discipline
* Requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the job family
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
* A US or Australian citizenship
* A minimum of a BA/BS degree from an accredited institution in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Controls)
* Broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through work experience and may require vocational or technical education
* An Australian "A" Grade Electrical License, OR a minimum US State Journeyman Electrical License
* A Valid Driver's license
* An active US Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph or AUS PV Security Clearance
* A minimum of 5 years of experience with design reviews and O&M facility-related programs of similar size, scope, and complexity
* A minimum of five years of experience as a Senior Project Manager responsible for supervising project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
* Demonstrated experience managing a multi-million dollar project portfolio and balancing resources while maintaining costs and schedules
* Demonstrated experience working in a 24x7 operational environment requiring close coordination with mission operations
* Demonstrated experience building recapitalization plans
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills
* Desired: PE License
