Clerk Grade: 11/12
Salary range: $149,739 - $173,174 + superannuation and leave loading
Employment Type: Multiple opportunities – temporary and talent pool will be created for eligible candidates
Location: Parramatta, Gosford (Mann Street) or Haymarket - flexible working conditions available across NSW. Travel between these locations would be required.

About this role

We’re looking for an experienced, highly motivated, passionate, and enthusiastic Leader to join our People and Culture Partnerships function and contribute to our vision to become the world’s most customer centric government.

The Manager People Partnerships role is responsible for leading a team of HR professionals to deliver expert people, culture and workforce advice and programs of work. In addition, this role is responsible for overseeing the P&C Knowledge Management function.

The Manager People Partnerships is responsible for leading a team of HR professionals to deliver expert people, culture and workforce advice to an assigned client portfolio. You will act as a strategic partner to senior leaders. This role drives organisational performance through proactive workforce insights and the effective delivery of people initiatives to support the business to meet their strategic objectives. You will provide expert guidance on government and organisational priorities, leading cultural and change programs to ensure people impacts are managed well and change is successfully embedded.

The key to your success within this role is your ability to build positive, collaborative, and trusted relationships with Senior Executives in your portfolio, appreciate and understand their unique workforce needs, enable business to deliver outcomes through their workforce strategies, and to lead a team of passionate HR business partner practitioners.

Partnering with leadership teams across the Regulatory and Delivery Divisions and Independent Agencies portfolio, which comprises of at least 7 different businesses with over 3,000 workers. This includes working with leaders across Building Commission NSW, NSW Fair Trading and Regulatory Services, People & Culture, Policy, Strategy and Governance plus various independent agencies.

Your peer-to-peer relationships across cross functional teams will be paramount in the co-design of fit for purpose strategies and innovative solutions while identifying opportunities to implement continuous improvement.

What you will bring to the role: 

* A strong people focus with the ability to inspire, lead and manage a dynamic, high performing team to drive a customer centric culture and positively engage team members  
* Provide expert advice and leadership to ensure the effective implementation of government, sector-wide and organisational priorities and change programs
* Lead and drive team management, work planning, coaching, mentoring and professional development initiatives to deliver priorities, support delivery of high quality, efficient and compliant services and a positive employee experience
* Demonstrated ability to build deep partnerships through strong listening and communication skills with an ability to find common ground and seek alternative perspectives 
* Ability to translate data insights to support strong decision making  
* Champions agile team leadership through creating psychological safety, customer centricity and strong delivery ethic 
* A keen interest to keep abreast of NSW government initiatives and contemporary trends and developments in best practice customer experience 
* Thrives in a fast-paced work environment with frequent change and also knows when to slow down  
* Embraces a growth mindset and supports learning across the team 
* Delivery of appropriate and effective advice and services in a high-volume environment with potentially competing priorities
