We are seeking a motivated, reliable and customer focussed individual for the role of Operations Field Support. The successful applicant will be trained in all aspects of the role, which involves the daily service as part of a team at a Sandvik Rock Tools Contract site.
Some of the requirements of the role include
1. Perform the daily delivery services of product to each underground drill site
2. Remove all worn and damaged rock tools from the underground drill sites
3. Analyse the condition and/or failures and discuss with the operators
4. Replenish circuit stock on each rig to the established levels
5. Complete analysis of failed product and report by following internal reporting guideline
6. Perform the sorting, gauging, cutting back, grinding and colour coding of used drill bits
7. Where necessary perform the refurbishment of drilling tools
Essential requirements
8. Valid manual Driver’s license
9. Ability to safely lift a minimum of 40kgs
10. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
11. Capacity to work unsupervised underground
12. The right to live and work in this location
13. Fluent spoken and written English
14. Ability to keep accurate records, forms, and reporting
15. High Customer focus and positive service orientation and attitude
16. Able to perform independently and in teams
17. Adaptable and resilient
Desirable requirements
18. High Risk Forklift license
19. IT – iPad/computer knowledge
20. Underground experience
