Aboriginal Administration Assistant (Funded Services), Youth Justice
Temporary, full‐time up to 2 years
Location: Parramatta – hybrid flexible working arrangement
Clerk Grade 1/2 – Salary $75,728 – $82,329 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role
Provide a range of administrative and reception services to internal and external stakeholders to support the effective delivery of quality services within the Youth Justice NSW Community Investment and Partnerships Team. As an integral member of the team, the role is responsible for managing administrative systems, processes, and procedures, and providing a high level of administrative, coordination, and customer service support to ensure the efficient operation of funded service programs.
This role is committed to improving outcomes for the benefit of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
What you'll do
* Act as a primary point of contact by providing administrative support across multiple programs, including managing telephone, email, and online enquiries from staff and service providers; deliver timely, accurate information and ensure effective referral to the appropriate program areas.
* Undertake a range of administrative services relating to the business, including non‐complex client matters, word processing, data entry, preparing correspondence, collating documentation, maintaining electronic and file records and supporting meetings and events to support the day‐to‐day operations of the team.
* Provide administrative support related to project tasks or urgent actions, including supporting the management team.
* Assist with financial and workforce transactional activities including purchasing, invoice processing, time‐sheet management adhering to Departmental processes in accordance with relevant practices and standards.
* Assist with projects and research.
* Communicate respectfully with Aboriginal communities in a culturally sensitive way.
