Cugini Restaurant is a classic Italian pizza and pasta fully licensed restaurant within a modern and elegant ambience. Operating for over 13 years and family owned since opening in 2012. Located on the Bellerive Quay, overlooking the picturesque backdrop of Kangaroo Bay marina. Originally situated at 34 Cambridge Road, then moving right next door into a beautifully renovated larger venue at number 38, to focus on what we do best for our customers.
We are seeking an experienced qualified chef with a passion for their craft to join our kitchen team of 14 staff, in a full-time position.
We trade 6 days a week Tuesday to Sunday from 5pm to 9pm. You will be required to be available to work straight shifts, no split shifts, ranging between the hours of 12pm to 11pm and only up to the standard full time hours per day, totalling in 38 hours per week.
Must be motivated, enthusiastic and able to handle a fast paced working environment.

Key responsibilities & duties
* Overseeing all aspects and daily operations of the kitchen.
* Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in all sections of the kitchen, using fresh local seasonal and high-quality imported ingredients with traditional and modern cooking techniques.
* Monitoring and ensuring consistency in product quality, food preparation, service, and presentation standards.
* Leading and mentoring kitchen staff to develop and maintain a collaborative team culture in high performance and professional growth.
* Setting up and stocking all sections of the kitchen.
* Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
* Ensuring strict adherence and compliance with health and safety regulations, WHS, food safety, and hygiene standards across the venue.
* Oversee kitchen administration, including rostering, timesheet approvals, recruitment, and performance management.
* All aspects and managing of ordering, stock control, food costs, inventory and supplier relationships to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.
* Maintain kitchen presentation and asset management, ensuring facilities are kept in peak condition.
* Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
* Work closely with FOH teams to deliver a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
Candidate's qualifications and work experience :
* Proven industry experience as a Chef or Cook in a similar high-volume, fast-paced environment for a minimum of 2 years.
* Hold at least a Diploma-level qualification in Hospitality or a related field.
* Strong technical cooking skills and a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
* Initiative and ability to work with others
* A keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
